SCEH operates in four project areas: Library, Education, Arts and Athletics.

Projects are proposed in either Haiti or in the United States that are: new ideas; long-term and sustainable; involve opportunities to develop interpersonal relationships with people in the US and Deschapelles, Haiti; and involve collaboration between ODES and SCEH.

The ultimate goal of each Project is that SCEH brings materials and skills to augment the existing knowledge of those involved in the Project in Deschapelles with the expectation that they will be able to continue the work on their own in directions that best suit their needs.
